This course provides students with knowledge of major social sciences research methods that are relevant to Macao Studies. Quantitative and qualitative research methods are introduced. A focus will be given on conceptualization, research design and operationalization of quantitative and qualitative projects, providing a foundation for an academic exploration.

CILO-1: Identify the advantages and limitations of different research methods. CILO-2: Evaluate the methods used in qualitative and quantitative researches in Macao studies. CILO-3: Design a research that applies qualitative methods in Macao studies. CILO-4: Design a research that implements quantitative methods in Macao studies.
