Course Description
This course focuses on biological, environmental, cognitive, and personality factors that influence delinquency and crime. Major topics of discussion will include psychopathology, maladjustment patterns, psychoses, personality disorders, cognitive development, and alcohol and drug dependency, and the relationships between these factors and criminal behavior. The course will also cover offender profiling, sexual violence, and psychological treatment of delinquents and criminal offenders. Pre-requisite: None
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify biological, environmental, cognitive, and personality factors that influence delinquency and crime.
