Course Description
In this seminar-based course, students will engage with high-level readings from primary sources for exploration of various topics of relevance to local and global issues in applied psychology. The readings will vary from year to year depending on the expertise of specialist staff and the needs for advanced study of psychology.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify key points of advanced knowledge, analytical and critical thinking skills and values appropriate to the field of applied psychology.
CILO-2: Discuss key points of relevant knowledge of global, regional, and local/indigenous perspectives as appropriate in the field of applied psychology research.
CILO-3: Communicate the importance of specific theoretical approaches in applied psychology aimed at describing various psychological phenomena.
CILO-4: Apply ideas, concepts and methods from applied psychology coherently and logically in written and oral communication in his or her own area of specialisation.
