Course Description
In this seminar-based course, students will engage with high-level readings of primary sources for exploration of various topics related to the psychological sciences. The readings will vary from year to year depending on the expertise of specialist staff and the needs for advanced study of psychology.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Describe and communicate key concepts and theories related to the study of culture in psychology.
CILO-2: Discuss critically how theory and research on culture and psychology relates to the psychological experiences in her or his own specific subarea of study.
CILO-3: Communicate the importance of specific theoretical approaches in demonstrating the relationship between culture and psychology.
CILO-4: Apply the concepts and methods of the cultural theories approach in conceptualizing research programmes in his or her own area of specialization.
