Course Description
The course explores the theory and techniques of assessment for intervention purposes including the administration, scoring and understanding of cognitive and intellectual psychological tests, interview-based assessments of mental status, and other achievement and special assessment tools. Research, ethics, and clinical implications of cognitive and achievement assessment will be covered, as well as writing appropriate reports. Practical experience administering instruments will be done under supervision.

CILO-4: Describe the practice of writing integrated reports based on Wechsler Adult Intelligence Test performance.
CILO-5: Describe the standardized administration, scoring and interpretation of the Wechsler Intelligence Test for Children.
CILO-6: Describe other commonly used tests of intelligence for infants, children and adults.
CILO-7: Describe the administration of interview-based assessments of mental status.
