Course Description
This course offers an overview of different theories and empirical research on learning and motivation from diverse perspective and approaches (behaviorist, biological, evolutionary, cognitive, cross-cultural, etc.). Current research of learning and motivation, and their applications in applied settings will also be discussed (e.g, achievement motivation in educational settings).
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Describe and compare the theories, models and measures underlying the major schools of thought about learning and motivation.
CILO-2: Account for the range of motivation and learning in applied settings (e.g., education and workplace settings) and propose ways of raising motivation and enhancing learning.
CILO-3: Critically evaluate current research in learning and motivation.
