Course Description
The course provides a basic understanding of brain structure and function, brain trauma and disease, and plasticity. The methodologies utilized to study brain-behaviour relationships are reviewed, and an appreciation of the role of clinical perspectives is provided.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify different regions of the brain, their functions, the ways in which they interact to produce complex behaviours and mental processes and complete quizzes.
CILO-2: Distinguish various cognitive and neural processes such as perception, attention, memory, language, decision making, and evaluate using exams.
CILO-3: Clarify the relationship between brain activity and behaviour, how this relationship can be used to study and apply in various psychiatric and neurological conditions, and analyse in an essay.
