This course will involve the study of works of drama in the Portuguese language drawn from the different Portuguese-speaking countries, and the performance of scenes thereof.

At the end of the course, students should: 1. Be familiar with the basic terminology of Portuguese Drama; 2. Know the main plays and playwrights of the Portuguese-speaking world; 3. Be able to read texts in Portuguese with appropriate intonation and emotion; 4. Prepare small theatrical scripts.
