Course Description
This course serves as an introduction to the reading and composition of various forms of written texts. Students will be expected to utilise verbs in the correct tense and learn the subjunctive mood. Through exercises and activities emphasising contextualized use of structures, students will learn to produce different types of texts suitable for presentation and discussion.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Describe Portuguese people's dietary habits based on texts reading, and compose written pieces comparing the difference between Chinese and Portuguese culinary cultures.
CILO-2: Discuss everyday life and consumption habits in Portugal and create written pieces narrating personal experiences and perspectives.
CILO-3: Describe personal physical conditions, and present personalised plans for maintaining good health and wellness.
CILO-4: Plan and design travel itineraries based on research of destinations, budget, and personal preferences, and write detailed descriptions of the trip plans.
CILO-5: Compare and contrast real and hypothetical situations by using the correct verb tense and sentence patterns.
