This course’s main objective is to develop a broader view of contemporary life and culture in the Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao, as well as development of fluency in reading and oral comprehension and expression at the elementary proficiency level.

CILO-1: Demonstrate familiarity with Portuguese-speaking countries' and region’s human and social aspects. CILO-2: Identify economic and geographical aspects of Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. CILO-3: Articulate how culture and language are interrelated and give examples.
