The main objective of this course is an introduction to a broader view of contemporary life and culture in Portuguese-speaking countries as well as Macao and the development of fluency in reading and oral comprehension and expression at a beginner level.

CILO-1: Recognize the geographical position of the Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao on the world map, as well as the capitals and flags. CILO-2: Summarise some of the prominent figures of the Portuguese world of arts and literature. CILO-3: Identify different Portuguese culture aspects: some specific (visual/ historical) aspects, gastronomy, music and literature.
