Course Description
This is an advanced course for PhD students focusing on the development of the students’ critical understanding of primary and secondary source texts in Philosophy and Religious Studies. This course aims at enhancing the students’ reading, oral, writing, research, and argumentation skills. Selection of specific topics and texts depends on the research field and area of expertise of the instructor.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Assess the relevant publication venues, formats, and publications in Philosophy and Religious Studies.
CILO-2: Evaluate source texts in Philosophy and Religious Studies in the form of academic writing.
CILO-3: Formulate a written research question, develop a position, and write an academic text of professional quality.
CILO-4: Apply appropriate methodologies in Philosophy and Religious Studies in academic writing.
