Course Description
This course presents students with a selection of the main philosophers, movements, ideas, and themes in Chinese philosophy. The course will scrutinize the claim that Chinese philosophy presents an alternative way of thinking, perceiving, or doing “things” than that found in other forms of thought.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Narrate the historical background to and development of important Chinese philosophical traditions.
CILO-2: Critically discuss and evaluate classical works from the history of Western philosophy.
CILO-3: Discuss key contemporary issues from the perspective of one or more classical work from the history of Western philosophy.
