Course Description
A study of Buddhist views of the human predicament and its solution, covering different teachings and forms of practice from India, Southeast Asia, Tibet, China, and Japan.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Critically assess core ideas, values, and practices of the Buddhist philosophical tradition.
CILO-2: Understand the cultural, historical, and intellectual development of Buddhist Philosophy by being familiar with some of its core texts.
CILO-3: Discuss in writing and orally contributions by the Buddhist philosophical traditions to address contemporary ethical, social, political, and cultural issues.
