Course Description
This course attempts to provide an encompassing introduction to philosophy by looking at some of the fundamental problems philosophers discuss in a number of different areas of Western philosophy, such as general metaphysics, ontology, epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and ethics. The classic materials are selected to provide a basis for understanding some of the central debates within each of these fields.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Employ valid argumentation for attacking/defending/criticizing a certain philosophical theory or judgment.
CILO-2: Use precise terminology and clear concepts related and relevant to the presented philosophical issues.
CILO-3: Use argumentation and specific terminology for discussing various philosophical problems.
CILO-4: Develop a personal, yet well grounded, philosophical view on various philosophical topics.
