Course Description
The course provides students with a strategic approach to human resource management, clearly establishing the link between HRM and corporate strategies. It deals with the importance of 'human capital' as a cornerstone of firms’ competitive advantages. The course also enables the students to understand and apply processes, techniques, and activities of HRM in order to form and implement organizational strategies amid critical environmental influences.

CILO-1: Explain the concepts of competing theoretical models of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM).
CILO-2: Identify the relationship between strategic management process and SHRM.
CILO-3: Apply their understanding of both contextual factors and principles in SHRM to practical situations.
CILO-4: Identify the various HRM strategies and their impact in organizational performance.
CILO-5: Evaluate an organization’s external environment and internal capabilities, and develop a strategic HR plan to achieve the corporate goals.
