Course Description
This course examines key problems and issues regarding management of global human resources. These include how recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation, performance evaluation should be done for multinational corporations. Other topics include expatriate management and ethics and health and safety issues in Global Human Resource.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain the differences between international and domestic human resource practices and the complexities of managing human resources in multinational firms.
CILO-2: Develop awareness of the impact of cultural differences on human resource practices.
CILO-3: Understand theories and concepts of global human resource management and its relevance to organizational goals.
CILO-4: Have the capacity to apply techniques, processes, procedures and knowledge introduced in creating effective human resource management policies, strategies and decisions in an international perspective.
CILO-5: Apply practically, global human resource management knowledge and skills gained in the course.
