Course Description
This course introduces students to the process of strategy formation, formulation, and implementation. Students learn to integrate functional knowledge in business and to apply strategic management tools in case studies.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain the general idea of strategic management and the basic concepts associated with strategic analysis, formulation and implementation.
CILO-2: Examine the general environment and industry structure to assess the external environment of companies.
CILO-3: Assess company’s resources for their potential in generating competitive advantages.
CILO-4: Demonstrate how companies can add value in a business as well as across diverse lines of businesses.
CILO-5: Demonstrate the ability of various strategic tool analyses in case studies.
CILO-6: Assess real life company strategic dilemma to identify issues and to develop recommendations.
