This course is used to study the way a response variable depending on an unknown, linear combination of explanatory and/or classification variables. This course focuses on the theory of linear models and the topics include: linear regression model, general linear model, prediction problems, sensitivity analysis, analysis of incomplete data, robust regression, multiple comparisons, introduction to generalised linear models.

CILO-1: Explain and apply the probability theory, linear regression model. CILO-2: Select the important explanatory varibales. CILO-3: Use the linear regression models and generalized linear models to do prediction and analyze the real data sets. CILO-4: Use the generalized linear model to deal with the real data sets.
