Course Description
Sampling distributions: Chi-square distribution, t-distribution, and F-distribution. Laws of large number and Central limit theorems. Estimation: theory and application. Hypotheses testing: theory and application. Linear regressions, correlation analysis, linear statistical model. The analysis of variance: theory and application. Introduction of statistical computing software.

CILO-1: Explain and apply basic theories and concepts in mathematical statistics.
CILO-2: Solve the problems on estimation theory, and to design estimators by basic statistical methods.
CILO-3: Solve the problems on the hypothesis testing theory.
CILO-4: Use the estimation theory and the testing hypothesis theory to solve applied problem.
CILO-5: Explain and apply the basic theories and concepts of linear regression and analysis of variance.
CILO-6: Use the regression technique to construct a linear statistical model in practice.
