Course Description
This course introduces briefly students to the fundamental concepts and principles of probabilities. The topics include random events, principle of counting, permutation and combination, total probability and Bayes’ rule, random variables and probability distributions, binomial and normal distributions.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain the fundamental concept and principles of random events and probability.
CILO-2: Perform basic calculations for probability.
CILO-3: Formulate and solve basic probability problems using Bayes’ Rule.
CILO-4: Apply the concept of variance of a discrete/continuous random variable.
CILO-5: Solve problems on binomial and normal distributions.
