Course Description
This subject emphasizes on correct use of grammar and expressions in spoken and written Portuguese in legal practices. Students will be able to practice to communicate with the administrative and judicial institutions in different situations as set by the teaching staff so that they can get practical experiences.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to demonstrate competency in various skills essential for legal professionals, including conducting effective interviews, providing sound legal counsel, engaging in successful negotiation, conducting thorough fact development and analysis, and engaging in self-evaluation and reflection to improve professional practice.
CILO-2: Students will be able to employ concepts and terminology relevant to legal practice in Portuguese and effectively communicate and operate within diverse legal contexts such as law firms, legal departments, and legal service organizations.
CILO-3: Students will be able to explain legal arguments and advice in both formal and informal settings, adjusting both style and substance to account for both the audience and the purpose of the communication.
CILO-4: Students will be able to ability to advocate effectively to advocate effectively before a fact finder such as a judge or prosecutor in a simulated or actual legal forum.
