I. Stand, specificity and characterization of International Trade Law. Methodological principles and orientations. II. Conflict of Laws. III. Conflict of jurisdictions. IV. Arbitrage mechanism. V. Celebrations of international contracts and the 'battle of forms' problem. VI. Study of some specific issues: a) representation; b) insurance contract; c) maritime transport contract. VII. Set-Off in International Trade. VIII. International Bankruptcy.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to conceptualize, formulate and distinguish the concepts of international and internal public order.
CILO-2: Students will be able to critically access and analyze the vested rights principle in accordance to court decisions.
CILO-3: Students will be able to critically access and understand the norms regulating international child abduction.
CILO-4: Students will be able to critically access and understand the norms regulating international adoption, and to critically access and demonstrate knowledge regarding conflict rules governing international contracts.
