These subjects require the basic knowledge of English language, as well as of legal issues. The main objective is to learn how to express some fundamental Civil Law notions in English, as well as to understand some Common Law key concepts.

CILO-1: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with the fundamental vocabulary and language used in English legal contexts. CILO-2: Students will be able to elaborate a general background about Common Law legal systems. CILO-3: Students will be able to define the branches and sources of English law.
