The main objective of these courses is to provide the basic skills on Putonghua, both spoken and written. Chinese Culture shall also be part of the programme.

CILO-1: Students will be able to systematically develop teaching materials for phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, Chinese characters, Chinese culture, and other areas of knowledge and skills training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. CILO-2: Students will be able to develop an upper intermediate level of knowledge and utilize vocabulary and elementary structures of Hanyu language and culture. CILO-3: Students will be able to construct words and expressions related to specific concrete situations and employ intermediate Hanyu structures to communicate effectively.
