Course Description
This course focuses on the institutional, substantive and procedural dimensions of European Union (EU) law. This course provides an overview of the treaty reforms, judicial architecture and political structures of the EU, the major fields of EU law, law-making processes, and the relevant case law on free movement, fundamental rights, and Internal Market while focusing on current issues of the EU integration process. The course attaches specific attention to vertical (EU institutions) and horizontal (Member States) dimensions of the EU law.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to identify various legal concepts, rules, institutions, policies and procedures in the field of European Union (EU) law.
