Course Description
This course is based on the Contract Law and Tort Law in Civil Code of the People's Republic of China (PRC), aiming to enable students to study the Chinese law of obligations from a perspective of comparative law, master and flexibly apply the relevant norms of Chinese contract law, and form a rigorous and scientific approach to jurisprudence. At the same time, the course aims to help students understand the basic principles and knowledge of tort law, improve the ability to prevent risks and independently deal with tort issues.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to describe the differences between the law of obligations of Mainland China and Macao.
CILO-2: Students will be able to explain the important role played by contract law in modern society.
CILO-3: Students will be able to correctly analyse the rights and obligations of the parties to a contract.
CILO-4: Students will be able to adeptly apply the norms of contract law for the resolution of disputes.
CILO-5: Students will be able to describe the basic knowledge of tort law.
CILO-6: Students will be able to analyse and solve social disputes by using the concept of remedy of tort law.
