These subjects require the knowledge of both languages, Chinese and Portuguese. The main objective is to provide the students with the basic techniques used in any translation. Students shall then practice such methods by translating, texts and oral speeches and dialogues, from Chinese into Portuguese and vice-versa.

CILO-1: Students will be able to utilize dictionaries and electronic resources to aid in identifying the true meaning of a word or expression in a specific context, as well as finding the corresponding word or expression in another language. CILO-2: Students will be able to provide detailed explanations and correctly utilize a wide range of legal terms in both Chinese and Portuguese at a beginner level. CILO-3: Students will be able to locate resources on how legal articles are written in Chinese and Portuguese, including the proper methods of citing authors and laws in both languages.
