This course emphasizes oral and written communication skills. Students will be provided different tasks focused on practical daily communication in order to help build confidence in speaking and writing Japanese.

CILO-1: Students will be able to keep up with an animated conversation between native speakers. CILO-2: Students will be able to understand most TV news and current affairs programmes. CILO-3: Students will be able to give clear, detailed descriptions of complex. CILO-4: Students will be able to compose clear, well-structured texts of complex subjects.
