Course Description
This course is the intermediate Japanese language course. It covers reading and writing skills and also provides cultural information about Japan. At the end of this course, students can conduct daily conversation at the intermediate level.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Have the knowledge of about 1800 selected vocabulary.
CILO-2: Identify key words and do task listening exercises on familiar topics presented by inauthentic materials on CD.
CILO-3: Write sentences using the learned vocabulary and structures on simple topics.
CILO-4: Scan and get the gist of simple reading materials such as short essays and stories.
CILO-5: Communicate with classmates and the teacher in basic everyday life situations using learned expressions and vocabulary. For example: express giving and receiving items as well as favors using honorific expressions and carry on conversations with socially superior people using appropriate honorific expressions etc.
