Course Description
This course is a continuation of Elementary Japanese III. It includes reading and writing skills. At the end of this course, student can converse basic to intermediate daily conversation in Japanese.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Have the knowledge of about 1500 selected vocabulary.
CILO-2: Write sentences using the learned vocabulary and structures on simple topics. For example: express prohibition and instruction of the sign, describe occurrence and things using passive verbs etc.
CILO-3: Scan and get the gist of simple reading materials such as short essays and stories.
CILO-4: Communicate with classmates and the teacher in basic everyday life situations using learned expressions and vocabulary. For example: make suggestions and offer advice, speak about reasons and one’s plan in the future etc.
