Course Description
This course is a continuation of Elementary Japanese II. It also includes reading and writing. At the end of this course, students will have a basic knowledge of Japanese and will be able to conduct daily conversation at the basic level with more advanced vocabulary and syntax.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Have the knowledge of about 1200 selected vocabulary.
CILO-2: Write sentences using the learned vocabulary and structures on simple topics. For example: express about simple reasons, simple hypothesis and describe some phenomena using intransitive verbs etc.
CILO-3: Scan and get the gist of simple reading materials such as short essays and stories.
CILO-4: Communicate with classmates and the teacher in basic everyday life situations using learned expressions and vocabulary. For example: speak about one’s opinions, report what someone said and give and get simple directions etc.
