Course Description
This course will cover very basic Japanese language. This course also includes basic reading and writing. At the end of this course, students can conduct very basic daily conversation in Japanese.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Read and write Hiragana and Katakana.
CILO-2: Have the knowledge of about 400 selected vocabulary.
CILO-3: Write short sentences using the learned vocabulary and structures on simple topics. For example: describe things and people, express like or dislike etc.
CILO-4: Scan and get the gist of simple reading materials such as simple diary and simple task questions.
CILO-5: Communicate with classmates and the teacher in basic everyday life situations using learned expressions and vocabulary. For example: introduce oneself, say time, invite people to do something together etc.
