Course Description
This course is the continuation of Practical Japanese I and also aims at the development of Japanese language ability in daily conversation, reading and writing. At the same time, it also introduces Japanese Studies, including basic cultural ideas that are needed in the acquisition of the language. At the end of this course, students will be able to acquire basic conversation skills of Japanese.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Students will be able to use approximately 1900 Japanese words and phrases.
CILO-2: Students will be able to identify key words and do task listening exercises on familiar topics presented by inauthentic materials on CD.
CILO-3: Students will be able to communicate with classmates and the teacher in daily situations using learned expressions and vocabulary, such as asking for and giving directions, reporting what someone said, making suggestions and offering advice, asking for and providing everyday goods and services, etc.
CILO-4: Students will be able to write short sentences on simple topics.
