This course aims to introduce postgraduate students to basic statistical techniques for analyzing data in business world. The objective is to provide an opportunity for students to learn how to effectively choose the correct statistical techniques and communicate sample data and results of analysis. The emphasis is placed on how to run data analysis with the use of statistical softwares in order to achieve the above objective.

CILO-1: Demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of the broad use of statistical analysis in business world. CILO-2: Demonstrate the ability to choose appropriate statistical techniques in various business issues. CILO-3: Demonstrate the ability to carry out data analysis using statistical software and interpret output in a way non-statisticians would understand. CILO-4: Demonstrate knowledge of preparing a written report in a particular environment.
