Course Description
This course is designed to familiarize students in managing academic/business project in relation to the contemporary management issues of the convention and hospitality industry. This course is limited to Year-4 students who are enrolled in the Convention and Hospitality Management Stream. Students are expected to productively take part in a cross-functional project team and conduct extensive studies on selected topics and provide suggestions as to get around the issues. Students will learn to effectively make use of research techniques and tools as well as to integrate different concepts in managing an academic/business project research. Microsoft Project software will be used to illustrate the project management concepts.
Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to improve their project management skills within the context of convention and hospitality management. Specifically, students will be able to Conduct and Manage a project effectively.
