Course Description
This course is designed to serve as an alternative to students who are interested in conducting academic/business researches in relation to the contemporary management issues of the gaming industry, instead of undertaking the Gaming Management Internship option. In principle, this is a research-orientated course, and is limited to Year 4 students who are enrolled in the Gaming Management Stream. Students are expected to conduct extensive studies on selected topics and provide suggestions as to get around the issues. Findings must be supported by appropriated quantitative and/or qualitative methods.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Identify the research problem and research questions; Set up adequate objectives to address the research questions and thus resolve the problem; Apply appropriate methods to achieve the objectives; Understand and comply with research ethics; Collect data in an effective approach; Use appropriate techniques and tools to analyze the data; discuss the results and draw insightful suggestions from the findings.
