Course Description
This course provides an overview of development and proliferation of gaming and hospitality business in the U.S. and throughout the world over the past decade, as well as the management issues associated with the integration between these two sectors. Focus will be placed on the international aspects of gaming and hospitality development, interrelationship between these two industries, regional cooperation and competition in the tourist market, and public polices issues.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to describe the different positions which governments have adopted in respect of their gambling policy; to describe the major trends of gaming and hospitality industry; to evaluate the possible impacts of cultural difference on management in gaming and hospitality industry; to describe how to apply the latest research findings in management and marketing of gaming and hospitality industry.
