Course Description
This course delves into the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health policies, focusing on evidence-based decision making and assessing impact upon public health and consequences of health policy implementation. Students explore various frameworks and methods used in policy analysis, considering key factors such as social determinants of health, equity, as well as health economic sciences such as cost-effectiveness. The course emphasizes the importance of collaboration with stakeholders, interdisciplinary approaches, and effective planning and communication strategies in shaping public health policies. Through real-world examples, studentsl learn to critically appraise policy options, assess their potential health impacts, and contribute to the development of equitable and sustainable public health interventions.
