Course Description
The final year project is an essential part of the degree. In this course, students work independently on a research project under the supervision of an academic faculty member, culminating in a written research proposal at the end of the first semester. The project supervisor guides the student through the process and provides support and advice on all aspects of the project work.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment, and adhere to good laboratory practices and biosafety issues.
CILO-2: Analyze, synthesize and integrate knowledge and information to form a research proposal.
CILO-3: Conduct basic guided research and demonstrate the ability to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in addressing a scientific problem.
CILO-4: Demonstrate the ability to seek, adapt and provide solutions to address challenges and concerns in research.
CILO-5: Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate research results and discuss scientific problems both in written reports and in oral presentations.
