This Research Project allows the history senior to gain research experience in one of the areas of specialization of the department for one semester and under close supervision of one faculty member. At the completion of the research project, final assessment is earned by writing a research report. A research report is different from an academic thesis in that it does not require extensive literature review and theoretical framework, and it is shorter.

CILO-1: Build practical research competences in the field of history. CILO-2: Gain deeper knowledge on one specific topic in history. CILO-3: Strengthen critical thinking and the skills to synthesize. CILO-4: Improve basic writing skills.
