Course Description
This course will focus on the subjects of Macao Archives, as well as Macao Memory. In particular, it consists of the topics on exploring of the Macao history and cultural development in relations with documentary heritages, and the sciences of management and integrating of documentary resources in the new information and communication technologies, such as the worldwide project Memory Programme. Thus, the course will introduce the basic concept of documentation development, information management, professional ethics, government archives management, etc., with the theory and practical knowledge in the ever-changing environment of electronic and Internet world.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Recognize the competing theoretical perspectives that can be employed to interpret the course of the historical development of Macao.
CILO-2: Examine historical sources critically using appropriate concepts and theories.
CILO-3: Acquire basic analytical, research, and communication skills in Macao studies.
