Course Description
This course explains the economic policies for the internal market, the financing and institutional set-up of the policies, Agricultural Policy, Cohesion Policy (Structural Funds), and the structural reforms along with the dynamic integration process in Europe.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify the goals and evolution of economic policies at the Union level.
CILO-2: Explain the costs and benefits in the formation of Free Trade Area and Customs Union through classic theories of economic integration.
CILO-3: Discuss respective economic competences and specific policies (Budget, Agriculture, Cohesion, Competition, Trade and Economic and Monetary Union) and the respective targets.
CILO-4: Analyze main aspects of the business environment in which firms operate when dealing with the Single Market.
CILO-5: Discuss critically their internal and external significance, problems and prospects.
