Course Description
This course discusses the institutional dimension of the EU as a multilevel civilian political entity, while addressing the socio-economic dimension of multilevel governance after the Lisbon Treaty. It also allows students to have understandings in the institutional framework of the EU external relations as well as the EU global governance and the concepts of multilateralism.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify key points of the structure of multi-level governance between national governments and institutional set up of the EU.
CILO-2: Identify the different ways of its governance and decision-making mechanism.
CILO-3: Discuss the competences and limits of major EU agencies in respective policy areas.
CILO-4: Evaluate the obstacles, significance and problems in policies when EU exercises its internal and external authority from institutional perspectives.
