Course Description
It illustrates the growing importance of globalization and multinational enterprises in the world economy. The theories that explain the internationalization process of companies will be analyzed, as well as the evolving organizational structures according to the degree of multinationality of firms. The tendencies of multinational enterprises to enter into joint ventures and other collaborative agreements will also be studied. Special attention will be devoted to the outward direct investment of the EU.

CILO-1: Describe the significance of globalisation and the strategic approach of the internationalisation of firms.
CILO-2: Identify key aspects of EU-China cross border Foreign Direct Investment and their strategic and managerial implications.
CILO-3: Discuss the challenges and that are faced by Multi-National Enterprises in foreign markets in general, and in China and EU in particular.
CILO-4: Discuss current issues about EU-China Investment Agreement from policy and business perspectives.
