Course Description
The course is composed of theoretical and factual contents. Its objective is to provide the students with the Microeconomic theories at intermediate level and it is combined with the historical background of the European Union, the rise of the integration and also a general picture about the European Union today. The core of the theoretical part falls onto the IS-LM as well as the AD-AS model while the students should understand how the economic policies function.
Intended Learning Outcomes
The students are supposed to obtain primarily the basic theories and updated knowledge about the economic development in the European Union. They can then explore further in the sphere of economic integration in Europe in theoretical and practical terms. Besides the the decision-making process and major policies of the EU, the introduction is adapted to their diverse backgrounds and understanding in economics, faciliating their perceptions and analysing capacities in advanced courses ahead.
