Course Description
Social Science Research Methods examine the scientific methods applied to various public administration and social science research topics. As it is a master course, all students are assumed to have specific research experience or knowledge of research methods. Therefore, in this course, all students are introduced to various real projects, and the instructor explains the selected projects in detail.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Discuss key points of qualitative methods, including literature reviews, interviews, and focus group discussions, as well as, quantitative research methods, including sampling, questionnaire design, regression analysis, factor analysis, and cluster analysis.
CILO-2: Apply the learned research methods from this course to conduct an empirical study of public policy and social policy.
CILO-3: Communicate the importance of research methods in public policy formulation and public administration.
