Course Description
This course focuses on the nature, types and characteristics of organizations as well as the tools and skills used in management. Emphasis is placed on problem solving. Topics include organizational structure and design, control and distortions, bureaucratic corruption, administrative leadership, motivation and work behavior, decision-making and resource management.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify key components of theoretical concepts in organizational behavior, including bureaucratic corruption, administrative leadership, motivation, and decision-making.
CILO-2: Discuss the role of organizational behavior in public policy formulation and public administration.
CILO-3: Apply the theoretical concepts from this course to explain the organizational structure and design in Macau, Hong Kong, and Mainland China.
CILO-4: Analyze empirical issues such as nature, types and characteristics of organizations, and the tools and skills used in management from the perspective of organizational behavior.
