Course Description
This is a postgraduate course in the theory and practice of personnel management in the public, non-profit and private sectors. This course covers workforce planning, position management, performance management, and some key concepts, including motivation, and health and safety. The students can apply and relate the concepts and theories of personnel management in modern government to empirical studies in the non-profit and private sectors as well, taking into account change and development in the environment.

CILO-1: Summarize and explain the critical perspective toward human resources management.
CILO-2: Relate and apply various concepts and theories substantively to empirical cases of personnel management in the public, non-profit and private sectors.
CILO-3: Compare and contrast the factors and/or conditions that affect different personnel systems in the face of change and development in the environment.
CILO-4: Discuss issues and problems related to personnel administration and personnel management.
