Course Description
This course introduces the methods of public policy analysis by reviewing the main theoretical approaches in the field and examining key policy issues in Macao, Hong Kong and mainland China. The course has three main components: First, basic concepts in the analysis of the policymaking process and the political and institutional contexts of policy making. Second, the major theoretical approaches to the study of policy making, policy implementation and evaluation. Finally, several important policy issues in Macao, Hong Kong and mainland China will be illustrated as case studies.
